BeamOne Management Team Bios

Glenn Thibault, BeamOne’s President and Chief Executive Officer, has over 20 years of experience in the medical device manufacturing and sterilization arenas. His prior responsibilities with the Company included Manager of Quality Operations for the Denver, Colorado, Service Center and Corporate Director of Quality when BeamOne was owned by the Titan Corporation. Prior to joining BeamOne, he was North American Medical Manager of TUV, as well as Quality Assurance Manager for Conmed /Aspen Labs. He has served as a member of the AAMI/ISO Radiation Sterilization board, AAMI/ISO Microbiology board, and on the HIMA sub-committee on Sterilization. Mr. Thibault is a graduate of the University of North Carolina with a degree in Microbiology.


larryLarry Gabele  has been the CFO of BeamOne since its acquisition of the Titan Scan assets on February 8, 2005. In addition to being the largest single investor in BeamOne, Larry was responsible for raising all the capital required by BeamOne for the acquisition of the Titan Scan assets. Larry has been a CPA for 32 years and has owned his own CPA firm specializing in taxation since 1978. His practice has a concentration in the real estate construction and development areas. He has also personally developed and managed real estate construction projects ranging from single family residences to 70,000 Sq Ft commercial buildings over the past 25 years. Larry is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Accounting.


Tom Stephan is BeamOne’s Vice President of Business Development. Previously, his responsibilities with the Company included General Manager – Chief Operating Officer, and Director of Quality and Technology when BeamOne was owned by the Titan Corporation. Tom’s tenure in the medical device sterilization field spans 30 years in contract service sales of electron beam, gamma, vapor phase hydrogen peroxide, and ethylene oxide modalities. Previous to joining the Company, Tom spent many years at Steris-Isomedix, SteriGenics, and Stryker Orthopedics. He is a graduate of the University of Guelph in Canada with a degree in Microbiology.


Chris Bock has just recently assumed a new role at BeamOne as Director of Technology and System Improvements. Prior to his promotion, Chris served as Corporate Director of Quality Assurance for both BeamOne and the previous owner, the Titan Corporation. He has also held the positions of Director of Validation and Facility Manager for the Company. Chris brings over 30 years of experience in quality assurance relative to the medical device manufacturing and sterilization industries, and had been employed by Tyco Healthcare (Valleylab Division) and Cobe Laboratories prior to joining BeamOne. He has a degree in Business from the University of Arizona.


Randall Vega has been serving as BeamOne’s on-site representative in Costa Rica for several months, and he has been instrumental in overseeing the construction and general progress of the new service center. He will serve as Plant Manager for the new facility and have charge over all day to day operations, including scheduling, personnel, training, and customer development, and maintenance. Randall brings over 20 years of production management experience to his new position with BeamOne, and has been employed previously in Costa Rica by Remec, Inc., Cortek International, and Semicontec, where his superior management skills were applied to Quality Assurance, Facility Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations assignments. Randall has a degree in electronics engineering and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.


Susie Perlman has been with BeamOne for over 13 years and is Director of Customer Relations and Marketing. Susie has over 30 years of experience in the medical device manufacturing industry and has previously served as International Marketing Coordinator, Director of Human Resources, and Director of Shareholder Relations for Electro Medical Systems and subsequently Electromedics/Medtronic, both Denver based divisions of multi-national medical device manufacturing firms. Susie’s current BeamOne responsibilities include customer development and management for the Colorado BeamOne Service Center, oversight of customer relations for the California and Ohio Service Centers, and management of corporate marketing activities. Susie has a B.A. degree from the University of Denver with a major in Spanish.


Daniel Turner, BeamOne’s Director of Maintenance, has over 26 years experience in program management, managerial discipline, technical expertise and in-depth expertise in the electron beam radiation processing industry. Prior to joining BeamOne, he was Program Manager for L-3 Communications RF Accelerator Applications Group as well as Senior Field Service Engineer for SureBeam Corporation, Production Manager for Titan Scan Technologies and Senior Technical Specialist for IRT Corporation. Mr. Turner served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp and is a graduate of Harrington Institute, Certified Project Manager (CPMgr).


Tony Valentyn has recently (February 2009) been promoted to Director of Operations for BeamOne. In his new role, Tony will manage operational efficiency, infrastructure optimization, and ongoing business efficiency and growth for all BeamOne Service Centers. He joined the company is 2006 and was instrumental, as Manager of BeamOne’s Ohio Service Center, in attracting new customers and maintaining excellent rapport with Ohio’s existing customers.

Previously employed as Director of Operations for SureBeamCorporation and General Manager for SteriGenics, he has over 15 years of experience in the medical device and sterilization industries and over 30 years of experience in plant operations and sales. Tony is a graduate of Southern Illinois University with a degree in Industrial Engineering.


Doug Myers has been with BeamOne for over 6 years and is Director of Quality Assurance. Doug has over 21 years of experience in the medical device manufacturing industry pertaining to management of quality assurance and regulatory affairs systems, radiation sterilization validation and processing management, ethylene oxide and steam cycle development and validation, and management of sterility assurance systems while at Becton Dickinson, Gambro Healthcare, and Synthes USA. Doug’s current BeamOne responsibilities include management of the corporate quality assurance and regulatory affairs systems, and as the company representative for quality matters. Doug has a B. S. in Biology from Lenoir-Rhyne College, and a Master of Science degree in Management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
